NestSigns™

Nesting sign letters for a MultiCam router

MultiCam routers cut a lot of sign work. NestSigns handles the step before toolpaths: it nests the letters from your design file and gives you a layout you can import straight into CAM.

Where NestSigns fits

StepTool
1. Design the lettersIllustrator, CorelDRAW or FlexiSIGN
2. Nest the letters on the sheetsNestSigns: open the .ai, .cdr, PDF, DXF or SVG file, pick the sheet
3. Make toolpathsThe CAM software you use with the MultiCam: import the nested DXF
4. CutThe MultiCam controller

NestSigns exports DXF R12 with true arcs on one layer, so curves stay smooth when you import them for toolpaths. It also exports PDF and AI, one file per sheet or all sheets together.

Spacing you can trust before cutting

Type the bit diameter and NestSigns sets the part spacing from it. After each run it measures the smallest gap actually left between parts and shows it next to the result, so you can check the layout before it reaches the machine.

Letters with counters and small pieces

NestSigns can place small letters and dots inside the holes of bigger letters (the counters of O, A or R) when they fit with full spacing. You can turn this off if you want every piece kept separate.

Questions

Does NestSigns make toolpaths for my MultiCam?

No. NestSigns does the nesting and exports DXF, PDF or AI. You make toolpaths in the CAM software you already use.

Is NestSigns made by MultiCam?

No. NestSigns is separate software and is not affiliated with MultiCam. It works with any router that can cut from a DXF or PDF layout.

Try it on your own job. Open your artwork, pick a sheet, and see how many sheets you need. 20 free nesting runs, no credit card. After that, $14.99 per month, cancel anytime.
