NestSigns™

Nesting sign letters from CorelDRAW

NestSigns opens CorelDRAW .cdr files directly, nests the letters onto as few sheets as it can, and gives you a cut-ready layout. It runs in the browser, so there is no plug-in to install or update.

Open the .cdr file as it is

Drop a CorelDRAW file (version X4 or newer) into NestSigns. Every closed shape becomes a part, and holes stay with the letter they belong to. You can also export PDF or DXF from CorelDRAW and open that instead. The .cdr file is read inside your browser.

A separate app, not a plug-in

Some shops nest with a CorelDRAW plug-in such as eCut. NestSigns works differently: it is a web app, so it does not depend on your CorelDRAW version, and the same shop can use it with Illustrator, FlexiSIGN or DXF files too. Your stock list, prices and finished jobs are saved to your account, so any of your computers can open them.

Bring the layout back into CorelDRAW

Export the nested sheets as PDF, AI or DXF and import them into CorelDRAW, or send the DXF straight to your router software. The layout summary PDF numbers every part on the sheets and on a page of the original artwork, so sorting letters after cutting is quick.

Questions

Which CorelDRAW versions can NestSigns open?

CorelDRAW X4 and newer .cdr files. For older files, export PDF or DXF from CorelDRAW and open that.

Is NestSigns a CorelDRAW plug-in?

No. NestSigns is a separate web app that opens .cdr files. It is not made by or affiliated with Corel.

Does it keep my letter holes?

Yes. Holes inside a letter stay with that letter, and small parts can be placed inside the holes of bigger letters.

Try it on your own job. Open your artwork, pick a sheet, and see how many sheets you need. 20 free nesting runs, no credit card. After that, $14.99 per month, cancel anytime.
